LIFT - Mühle ist in Betrieb
Leema und Aloysius von LIFT sind seit sieben Jahren dabei, eine Mühle in Betrieb zu nehmen, mit der verschiedene Hirse-Produkte hergestellt werden können. Sie mussten dafür erst einmal für die Anbindung ans Stromnetz sorgen, langwierige Genehmigungsverfahren durchstehen, Lizenz-Nummern zugewiesen bekommen usw. - eine Hürde nach der anderen. Mit dem Erwerb der Maschine war es lange nicht getan, die konnten wir bereits bei unserem Besuch 2015 bestaunen.
Die Mühe hat sich ausgezahlt. Seit Mai 2020 ist die Mühle in Betrieb, Arbeitsplätze besonders auch für Frauen sind entstanden, ein Netzwerk wird aufgebaut, damit die Hirseprodukte ihren Weg in die Dörfer finden und dort die Ernährungssituation verbessern.
